The Charm of Overland Travel
The allure of Mexico extends beyond its well-known tourist destinations. It is in the lesser-known, local places where you can truly witness the “true face of Mexico.” The journey between Mexico City and Cancún spans 1600 kilometers, encompassing traces of the Aztec civilization in the Mexica Empire, the Teotihuacan ruins, Veracruz, the first European settlement in the Americas, the rich heritage of Oaxaca dating back over 3000 years, the ancient Olmec civilization, the birthplace of cocoa, various Mayan city ruins from the Mayan era, the grand nature of the Mayan region, and the unforgettable nature of Mexico itself. These are all treasures that are worth exploring on land rather than flying over by plane.
As time permits, embarking on this grand adventure while visiting places that embody the essence of Mexico, and ultimately reaching the final destinations of Cancún or Mexico City, is a journey like no other.
